Shoes, Shoes, I Love Shoes!

I admit it. I have a weakness for shoes. In fact, I have a weakness for shoes of all varieties; boots, flats, pumps, sandals, sneakers, and heels (even though it pains me even to think of wearing them for more than two hours). The brown boots are one of my latest purchases. I love the cool toe, the gum colored soles, the cozy faux fur lining, and the mix of suede and leather. They also have neat decorative lacing up the side . The best part is I got them for only $17 on clearance. They were something like 70-80% off the original price. The red flats lured me in. There they were. Deep smack in the middle of a cold and cloudy grey NJ winter. They made me happy. And even though I know that I won't be able to wear them for a good 2-3 more months, I had to have them now. Did you see the sole? If there had been any question at all about the purchase, this sealed the deal. A cute little flowery vine. How sweet.

Crochet Project of the Moment

I have a last minute baby shower to go to next weekend. A group of us are going to chip in for a "big" gift, but I always like to make something homemade to give as well. Since everything came together at the last minute (and is still coming together as we speak), I don't have enough time to do a baby blanket like I would normally make. But I found this adorable bootie pattern at http://hometown.aol.com/fourleafcl1064/page69.html. How cute are these?? I am praying that I can actually manage to complete them at all! I am having a bit of trouble with the pattern. But they are so cute, I hope it works.
